PINEVILLE, Mo. (AP) - A Missouri man is charged with murder in the shooting death of a man he had taken out an order of protection against.

McDonald County authorities say Michael Bowman, of rural Washburn, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Jimmy Tillery of Pea Ridge, Arkansas.

Sheriff Mike Hall says Tillery was found shot to death in his car after officers responded to a call that he was violating an order of protection.

The Neosho Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1KWyXjr ) Hall says Bowman and Tillery’s ex-wife, Cheryl, lived together near Washburn. They both had an order of protection against Tillery. Cheryl Tillery was at the scene of the shooting.

Bowman is jailed on a $10,000 cash-only bond. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
