CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (AP) - Police say a 16-year-old Central Falls boy posted a photo of himself with a gun on social media and threatened to harm officers.

The teen was arrested Thursday after allegedly posting the photo on Snapchat showing him with a .380-caliber handgun and hollow point ammunition.

Police say he indicated in the text that he would harm officers.

Police executed a search warrant at the home, but didn’t find a firearm.

He’s charged with making threats to public officials. The teen is being held at a youth detention facility pending a court hearing.
