PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Motorists are getting their first taste of what life will be like on Philadelphia’s roads when Pope Francis is in town.

The Ben Franklin Parkway’s inner drives are closed to traffic between Eakins Oval and 20th Street. The shutdown will help construction crews erect a security perimeter.

The outer drives remain open.

Pope Francis arrives in Philadelphia Sept. 26. A million people or more are expected to fill the parkway for his Sept. 27 Mass.
