WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. (AP) - The Coast Guard says two people were rescued after their 17-foot boat began taking on water on a rock jetty off Wrightsville Beach.

The Coast Guard said in a news release that a man and a woman were rescued Friday from Masonboro Inlet by Coast Guard crews and Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue. The man was treated for scrapes and bruises on his arm.

The boat was towed back to Wrightsville Beach Marina.

The Coast Guard did not identify the two.
