LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a fire in Linthicum Heights has displaced roughly 20 people after tearing through an apartment building.

The fire broke out in a four-story apartment complex just before 11:15 a.m. on the 200 block of West Maple Road in Linthicum.

It took roughly three hours for firefighters from Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas to battle the blaze. Nine apartments were evacuated. Two firefighters were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
