COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) - The Idaho State Police say they have arrested an Idaho driver who caused a fatal head-on crash while traveling in the wrong lane, killing a Washington man and his two young daughters.

Ryan Turner was arrested on Friday and charged with three counts of felony vehicular manslaughter. Each count carries up to 15 years in prison.

Authorities say 27-year-old Turner was driving his pickup truck northbound in the southbound lane on U.S. Highway 95 last Saturday when he crashed into an incoming car. The crash took place just south of Athol in Kootenai County.

33-year-old Mathew-Michael Baroni of Spokane and his daughters, 8-year-old Madilyn and 6-year-old Molly, died on the scene.

Authorities say alcohol was likely a factor in the crash.
