COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a party in Monument spiraled out of control after about a dozen party crashers tried to join in.

About 30 people were at the gathering early Saturday when uninvited guests showed up.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says people forced their way inside the home and were immediately met by other guests who tried to shove them back outside.

According to KKTV-TV (https://tinyurl.com/nkboczt), shots were fired after the party crashers were forced out, but no one was hit. One person was injured after being hit with a shovel.
