MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - Austin Gahafer threw three touchdown passes, ran for another, and Morehead State had no problem dispatching NAIA member Kentucky Christian 28-0 on Saturday night.

Gahafer was 21 of 36 for 174 yards for Morehead State (1-2). He completed passes to 11 receivers, with touchdown passes going to Tanner Napier, Justin Cornwall and Kitaro Lewis. Napier led the Eagles with five catches for 31 yards. Brent Holman had 16 carries for 90 yards on the ground.

Kentucky Christian couldn’t get much going with just 208 yards of offense. When they did manage to move the ball, they coughed it up with five turnovers. Graham Johnson was 11 of 24 for 35 yards and an interception. Gregory Walker II carried 24 times for 131 yards.

It was a penalty-marred affair - the teams combined for 15 fouls for 120 yards.
