NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say they are looking for a man who raped a woman who was sleeping on a sidewalk in Harlem.

The New York Police Department says it happened around 5 a.m. on Thursday along Park Avenue near East 125th Street.

Police say the 22-year-old woman was sleeping on the sidewalk when the man got down next to her, removed her clothes and sexually assaulted her.

Authorities say the woman woke up during the attack and the man took off.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.

Police said Saturday that they are continuing to investigate. No arrests have been made.
