HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say a 55-year-old man was fatally stabbed by his uncle in the Hartford apartment they lived in.

Police say Roberto Perales was stabbed in the arm and taken to St. Francis Hospital Thursday night, where he later died.

Investigators say 67-year-old Jose Colon has been arrested and charged with murder.

Officers were called to the scene just before 10 p.m. Thursday for a report of two people bleeding from a fight. Investigators say they were told the pair had consumed “copious amounts” of alcohol.

Police say Colon stabbed Perales in the arm and the victim was able to get control of the knife and stabbed Colon.

Colon’s injuries aren’t life-threatening. He’s being held on $1 million bond.

It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
