WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - A Waterloo dental clinic has provided free cleanings and dental care to scores of people.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1NK9bPM ) that people lined up out the door to Kimball & Beecher Family Dentistry on Friday, with the first patients showing up before dawn.

Another person walked four miles for the free clinic that opened at 8 a.m. By 9 a.m., dentists from the Waterloo practice, as well as its Cedar Falls location, had treated almost 40 patients.

The free care was put on through Dentistry from the Heart, a national nonprofit organization created to aid those in need.

Through the program, patients can choose a free cleaning, filling or extraction. Kimball & Beecher brought in its team of six dentists and dozens more staff to provide care.
