SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Sen. Elizabeth Warren has urged fellow Massachusetts Democrats to keep fighting for the party’s values as the 2016 elections approach.

The Republican of Springfield reports (https://bit.ly/1MyTo6d) that Warren told delegates to the state party convention in Springfield on Saturday that the differences between Democrats and Republicans “are becoming clearer every day.” She said keeping those differences clear is “how we’re going to win.”

Warren criticized Republican presidential candidates for supporting efforts to dismantle unions, cut Social Security and Medicare and deport immigrants in the U.S. illegally. She also blasted proposals to defund Planned Parenthood and repeal recent federal regulation of the financial services industry.

She said Democrats believe “that racism, sexism and homophobia, that hatred, injustice and bigotry have no place in our country.”

She urged Democratic voters to turn out for the party’s candidates in 2016.
