JAMUL, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a construction worker has fallen to his death at the site of a Southern California Indian casino.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department says a 56-year-old man fell Tuesday morning from a 38-foot platform at the top of a lift at the Jamul (Hah-MOOL’) Indian Village.

Authorities say he apparently died instantly. His name hasn’t been released.

The accident occurred at the site of a $360-million project to build a three-story casino and an eight-story parking garage.
