JENNING, La. (AP) - A Jennings couple accused in the slaying of a man found dead in a hotel room in June pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges.

The American Press report (https://bit.ly/1eOXZNb) Harold Trey Hargrave and Kristin Brook Bonin, both 26, are charged in the June 18 death of Blaze Moss, of Jennings.

Moss’ body was found on the floor in a room at the Howard Johnson Inn by an employee who notified police. Police Chief Todd D’Albor says a preliminary investigation indicated a fight occurred between the victim and the suspects in the room during a robbery.

A Jan. 25 trial date has been set for the couple. If they’re convicted of manslaughter, the couple faces up to 40 years in prison.
