COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The mothers of two men involved in a fatal 2014 drive-by shooting embraced the daughter of their accidental victim in a central Ohio courtroom immediately following sentencing.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1L3wduF ) 47-year-old Brian Hill was sentenced to life in prison without parole Tuesday for the shooting death of 54-year-old Patricia Pallenberg, who was gunned down Feb. 11, 2014 after being mistaken as a target.

Hill’s cousin, 48-year-old Terry Nichols, was also sentenced to 18 years in prison for charges related to the shooting.

Nichols testified at trial that he instructed Hill to shoot at a truck on Columbus’ Hiawatha Street that he thought belonged to a man he had a dispute with.

Pallenberg, a passenger in the truck, was killed after a bullet struck her in the head.
