PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Department of Public Safety’s request for tips and information about gunshots being fired at vehicles along a Phoenix freeway has prompted approximately 100 calls to the agency.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves declined Wednesday to discuss specifics of the calls, including whether they indicate additional vehicles have been targeted, but he said some seemed “kind of specious.”

DPS Director Frank Milstead said Monday that four vehicles were hit Saturday morning, Saturday night and Monday morning. One person was injured by glass from a pierced window.

The DPS has withheld some information about the shootings, and Graves said DPS’ investigation will be thorough and could take a while before an arrest is made.

Graves said the public can use a form (https://goo.gl/dFkq59 ) on the agency’s website (https://www.azdps.gov/ ) to submit information.
