LANSDALE, Pa. (AP) - A recent suburban Philadelphia high school graduate has been arrested in connection with sexually explicit images of girls posted online.

Eighteen-year-old Brandon Berlin of North Wales is charged with misdemeanor transmission of sexually explicit images by minor.

Montgomery County authorities said they learned in March that a website associated with Dropbox.com contained images of current and former North Penn High School students. They allege that Berlin created the account while he was a North Penn senior.

District Attorney Risa Ferman told The (Norristown) Times Herald that although others shared images, authorities decided to charge only the person they allege was “responsible for the mass distribution” of the images.

Defense attorney Matthew Quigg said his client is “wracked with remorse” and “It was never his intention to cause anybody any pain.”
