LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Korean diaper importer has been extradited from Los Angeles to face charges that he bilked investors out of $3.5 million in his home country.

Federal authorities say Kyuseop Maeng was extradited and turned over to law enforcement officers in South Korea on Wednesday.

A warrant issued in January alleges that Maeng defrauded investors in his trading company five years ago before fleeing to the United States.

He’s been living in the U.S. on a foreign student visa and was arrested in Hacienda Heights in June.
