LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Los Angeles Opera is dropping the price of its exclusive founders circle seats to $30 for attendees under the age of 30.

The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/1Q7Oknx ) that the company has announced a new 30/30/30 Club, in which 30 tickets will be made available for most performances of the opera’s main stage productions. Those who fit the age requirement can sign up to be emailed when the less expensive tickets are available.

Seats in the founders circle usually sell for more than $300 each.

The new pricing comes as the Los Angeles Opera celebrates its 30th anniversary, kicking off the season with a double bill revival production of “Gianni Schicchi,” directed by Woody Allen, and “Pagliacci.”
