MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A Myrtle Beach man has been charged with the shooting death of another man in a hotel parking lot.

Multiple media outlets reported that 32-year-old Darrell Deas was charged Tuesday with murder in the death of 30-year-old Latron Lewis.

Authorities say Lewis was shot early Sunday in the rear parking lot of the LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Myrtle Beach. Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says Lewis was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Myrtle Beach police Lt. Joey Crosby says Deas and Lewis were arguing in the parking lot when Lewis was shot.

It was not clear if Deas has an attorney.
