LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - A 62-year-old man who crashed into a deer while riding his motorcycle near Carter Lake southwest of Loveland has died.

The Coloradoan reports (https://goo.gl/QpriOx ) that Longmont resident Guy Baird died Monday. The crash happened Aug. 27 and he had been treated at the Medical Center of the Rockies.

Authorities say they don’t suspect Baird was speeding or impaired by drugs or alcohol.

The Colorado State Patrol says Baird was thrown from his motorcycle after crashing into the deer that had wandered onto the road.
