NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Police in Norman are investigating the death of a 1-year-old child at a city hotel.

Capt. Tom Easley told The Oklahoman that paramedics were called to the Norman Travelodge about 10 p.m. Monday and the paramedics then called for police.

Easley said the child died following an incident involving a car seat, but that investigators have not determined what happened.

Oklahoma Department of Human Services spokeswoman Debra Martin told The Norman Transcript that DHS is also investigating and that other children in the household are now in DHS custody.
