EAST NORRITON, Pa. (AP) - Police have accused a suburban Philadelphia woman of creating an online fundraising page for a friend’s husband with pancreatic cancer and keeping the money herself.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/1IIrf4Q ) 39-year-old Traci Kratzer was charged Tuesday with four counts of theft and receiving stolen property.

Montgomery County prosecutors say the East Norriton resident stole more than $8,000 in donations from her fraudulent charity fundraising page.

Police say Kratzer set up the page for Jay Henson in April on YouCaring.com, a fundraising and crowdfunding website.

Deven Henson says she never asked Kratzer to set up the page and repeatedly asked her for the log-in information.

Henson says Kratzer wrote her family two checks for $970 and then the money stopped coming.

Krazter couldn’t be reached for comment.
