CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) - The co-owner and general manager of the monthly RI Local Magazine says it is not publishing a September edition.

Jim Lombardi tells WJAR-TV (https://bit.ly/1VwLUSC) he hopes there will be an October issue. He declined to comment further.

WJAR said it obtained a letter sent to an RI Local employee from the state Department of Labor and Training comfirming it received that worker’s unpaid wage complaint against the magazine. The station said the letter informs RI Local co-owner Giovanni Feroce of a claim for $3,066. The station it had not been able to reach Feroce.

Lombardi wouldn’t comment on any DLT complaints, but said he intends to make every advertiser and employee whole.

Lombardi said he began RI Local in 2011. Feroce, CEO of Benrus and former CEO of Alex and Ani, became his partner last year.
