GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is bringing a discussion on aging to Clemson University.

The Republican senator is hosting a field hearing on Wednesday entitled “Aging in South Carolina: Biomedical Research in the Palmetto State.”

Scott is a member of the United States Special Committee on Aging. His office says Wednesday’s hearing will highlight cutting-edge biomedical research currently under way in South Carolina.

The hearing is taking place at Clemson’s Strom Thurmond Institute.
