HUNTSVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a motorcyclist has been killed in a collision in northwest Arkansas.

State police say the wreck happened Tuesday morning on U.S. 412 near Huntsville. A preliminary report says 27-year-old Jonathan Avia-Gutierrez of Springdale was passing a tractor-trailer in a no-passing zone when an oncoming vehicle approached.

The report says Avia-Gutierrez veered back into his lane and struck the front of the semi.

Roads conditions were clear and dry at the time. The death is the 338th traffic fatality this year in Arkansas.
