MARANA, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County authorities have issued arrest warrants for two suspects wanted in connection with the death of a Mesa man last month.

County Sheriff’s officials say the body of 57-year-old Curtis W. Oliver was found in the trunk of a burnt-out car in a remote area west of Marana on Aug. 23.

After the fire was extinguished, sheriff’s deputies had firefighters open the sedan’s trunk and human remains were found inside.

Sheriff’s officials announced Monday they were looking to question two “persons of interest” in the case - a man and woman who may be living in the Phoenix metro area.

On Wednesday, arrest warrants were issued for 43-year-old Douglas Auckerman and 20-year-old Deanna Huber after sheriff’s officials say homicide investigators obtained more information about Oliver’s death.
