KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The federal government has given a $2 million grant to the University of Tennessee College of Nursing for academic partnerships to improve clinical education for family nurse practitioner students.

The university says the grant will support the college’s academic partnership with Chota Community Health Services and Community Health of East Tennessee.

The three-year grant runs through June 30, 2018.

The grant is from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services.
