LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials have identified a man who died after the three-wheeled motorcycle he was driving crashed.

KTNV-TV in Las Vegas reports (https://bit.ly/1gDORRw) that authorities say 25-year-old Zackece Townsend was driving a Polaris Slingshot motorcycle around 3:50 a.m. Saturday when the crash happened.

According to investigators, Townsend’s Slingshot went onto a raised curb in a parking lot of the Las Vegas Premium Outlet Mall.

They say the three-wheeled vehicle then went back on a driveway but struck a raised island and then hit a metal donation box.

They say the Slingshot was thrown into a concrete flood channel and came to rest on top of landscaping.

Firefighters extricated Townsend and 18-year-old Taylor McClinton and both had critical injuries.

Townsend was pronounced dead at a hospital.

McClinton’s condition was not immediately known Sunday.
