SEATTLE (AP) - Add U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker to the list of high-profile names traveling to Seattle this week for events with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The Commerce Department says Pritzker will serve as President Barack Obama’s representative during the Washington state portion of Xi’s visit. Xi will be in the Seattle area from Tuesday until Thursday before going to Washington, D.C., for a state visit.

Pritzker is expected to give remarks at a dinner honoring Xi on Tuesday night, and on Wednesday, she’ll speak at a discussion of business issues being attended by Xi and 30 top U.S. and Chinese chief executives - including Apple’s Tim Cook, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, investor Warren Buffett and Jack Ma, of the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba.

Pritzker will also visit Boeing and Microsoft with the Chinese president.
