MILWAUKEE (AP) - A Milwaukee man has pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing his infant daughter and another man in January.

Twenty-one-year-old Ruben Garcia pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the deaths of his daughter, 5-month-old Kairii Dailey, and 39-year-old Paul Kucharczyk (koo-CHAR’-zik).

WITI-TV (https://bit.ly/1V6HSUd ) reports two counts of attempted homicide were dismissed as part of a plea deal. Garcia also was accused of stabbing and wounding 19-year-old Alexia Dailey - the baby’s mother and Garcia’s ex-girlfriend - and Dailey’s current boyfriend, 22-year-old Christopher Hamilton. Prosecutors say Garcia flew into a rage when Daily refused to take him back.

A jury now will determine Garcia’s mental state. The trial set to begin next January.

Dailey told police the couple broke up because he was physically abusive, but Garcia was allowed to see their daughter.
