PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (AP) - A woods fire in west Harrison County, north of Pass Christian, burned 40 acres.

There were three vehicles abandoned in the wooded area.

Pat Sullivan, Harrison County fire chief, tells the Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1QsBnnT) the Sunday’s fire burned two of those.

Sullivan says authorities are investigating how the fire started and what the cars were doing there.

West Harrison Fire, Harrison County Fire Service and the Mississippi Forestry Service firefighters responded.
