PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man is dead after being shot in what initially appears to have been a domestic dispute involving family members.

Sgt. Trent Crump says no immediate arrest was made following the shooting late Sunday night in a home on the 1800 block of East Moreland Street .

Crump says initial information indicates that a domestic dispute escalated into several family members being assaulted by the man before he was shot.

A gun was found at the scene, and Crump says one family member is believed to have shot the man. Crump says the family member was hospitalized and would be interviewed later.

Crump says two children were in the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

Further details were not released.
