LAS VEGAS (AP) - The death of a Las Vegas scooter rider who crashed into a car has been ruled an accident.

The Clark County Coroner’s office said Monday that 34-year-old Adrien Rudy Palacio died of blunt force trauma from the accidental crash.

Authorities said the incident happened Saturday night at an intersection in western Las Vegas, when the JMSTAR scooter was struck by a Honda Civic that made a left turn from the opposite direction.

The Las Vegas man died at a hospital after he was struck by the right side of the Honda.

Investigators said he tried to dodge the car.

The 60-year-old woman driving the Honda stayed at the scene and police do not believe she was impaired.

Police said this is the 75th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas this year.
