SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Phoenix man has been arrested following the discovery of the bodies of two apparent shooting victims in a burned-out residence in the Surprise area.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says investigators found a second body in the wreckage Sunday, a day after the first body was located in a trailer at 152nd Avenue and Jomax Road.

The Sheriff’s Office said a witness described a confrontation in the residence that led to two men being killed.

The victims weren’t immediately identified but the officials said 27-year-old Anthony Michael Fimbres was arrested Sunday near his home in east-central Phoenix.

Fimbres didn’t have an attorney during an initial court hearing. He was being held in lieu of $1 million bond on suspicion of two counts of second-degree murder.
