OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Republican Party says Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the Oklahoma State Fair this week.

The party says Trump will speak Friday at the state fair in Oklahoma City. The event is open to the public, though fair admission is required.

The state party says it will be announcing details of all presidential hopefuls’ visits to Oklahoma. Earlier this month, Marco Rubio spoke at a meeting of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association in Oklahoma City

Last week, Trump faced criticism for not correcting a town hall participant who inaccurately stated that President Barack Obama is a Muslim. But the presidential hopeful downplayed the criticism, saying he didn’t think he was “morally obligated” to defend Obama whenever someone says something controversial.
