SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police have found a 41-year-old man suspected of setting a fire at his parents’ home while the couple was at church.

The Standard-Examiner newspaper in Ogden reported Monday (https://bit.ly/1JlFwEI) that police in Elko, Nevada picked up Brian Aaron Shaw after getting a call about a man who was disoriented and appeared to be in crisis on Saturday.

Layton Police Lt. Travis Lyman says Shaw was transferred to a Salt Lake City mental health facility, where staffers found the warrant.

Police say the Sept. 13 fire in the home Shaw shared with them caused more than $40,000 in damage.

Lyman says investigators found evidence of arson but don’t know why Shaw would want to start a fire.

No attorney for Shaw was listed in court records Monday.
