BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Sport fishermen have until midnight on Sunday to catch greater amberjack in Mississippi’s waters.

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources says the recreational fishing season for greater amberjack will close in Mississippi’s waters at 12:01 a.m. Monday.

Meanwhile, the commercial fishing season for red drum will open in Mississippi’s territorial waters at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1. The red drum season will close when the quota is met.
