PHOENIX (AP) - Another monsoon storm has hit the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Heavy rain and strong wind gusts were reported Tuesday evening in Phoenix and some surrounding cities.

The National Weather Service says some areas received more than an inch of rain in less than an hour.

More than an inch of rain reportedly fell in the Laveen area, south of Phoenix.

Almost the same amount of rainfall was reported near Scottsdale Airport.

However, there were no immediate reports of any damage or power outages in the Phoenix metro area.

Arizona’s monsoon season usually runs from June 15 through Sept. 30.
