AURORA, Colo. (AP) - An Aurora man has been accused of having sex with a 16-year-old boy who left California to live with him and allegedly performed sex acts in exchange for housing and food.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1V7VRUz ) Sean Travis Crumpler appeared in court Monday on several charges, including trafficking sexual servitude of a minor and sexual contact with a child through coercion.

Court documents say that about a dozen men and another 16-year-old boy had been living with Crumpler, a registered sex offender.

Investigators linked Crumpler to the alleged crimes after one of the 16-year-olds from Long Beach, California, contacted his family and asked for his birth certificate so he could become emancipated.

A lawyer for Crumpler says he looks forward to defending the charges in court.
