RURAL VALLEY, Pa. (AP) - A coroner says more tests are needed to determine the cause of death of a 15-year-old western Pennsylvania high school student.

Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers says autopsy Tuesday found no sign of “injury, struggle or trauma” on the body of 15-year-old Damian Campbell of Yatesboro.

Myers said Campbell died Monday at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital after a friend reported seeing him slump to the floor.

He was treated for an elbow and shoulder injury after a reported fall during gym class at West Shamokin High School, but Myers told the (Kittanning) Leader Times that that didn’t cause his death.

Myers says toxicological and microscopic tissue tests are planned.

The Armstrong School District 50 miles northeast of Pittsburgh said counselors would be available for students and staff members.
