CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A 50-year-old Iowa woman is expected to plead guilty next month to a charge that she embezzled nearly $865,000 from a bank company while working as one of its officers.

Federal prosecutors in Cedar Rapids said in a news release Tuesday that Heidi Wagler, of Wayland, is charged with embezzlement by a bank officer. Wagler and her attorney didn’t immediately return calls from The Associated Press.

Prosecutors say that between June 2004 and October 2013, Wagler caused banks controlled by Country Bancorporation to pay her compensation to which she wasn’t entitled.

Online court records show Wagler is scheduled to be arraigned and to plead guilty on Oct. 6.
