CINCINNATI (AP) - Officials say three people were injured in a domestic dispute near the University of Cincinnati’s campus.

Police say a woman’s ex-boyfriend intentionally slammed into her car around 12:45 p.m. Monday before provoking a fight with her current boyfriend.

Lt. Dan Ogilvie says the ex-boyfriend stabbed the man in the arm and chest before turning the knife on himself.

Ogilvie says the assailant suffered multiple self-inflicted stab wounds to his stomach, chest and neck. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors intervened in the attack and were able to prevent the ex-boyfriend from injuring himself further.

The two victims were treated at area hospitals for their injuries, with the man listed in stable condition.

Police haven’t released details regarding criminal charges or the identities of those involved.
