HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Police in Madison County say they’re investigating an early-morning shooting that left two people dead and a third person wounded.

WHNT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Frgt8f) that the gunfire happened around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Brier Ridge Court, where deputies found the bodies of a man and woman.

Authorities say a child had called 911 reporting that multiple people had been shot.

Authorities say officers who arrived at the home found a woman outside the house with gunshot wounds. The Huntsville station reports that she was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Officers then found the bodies of the man and woman inside. Their identities haven’t been released.

Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
