TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man and a woman killed in a car crash over the weekend.

Tarpon Springs police say 33-year-old Justin Scott Dewar and 34-year-old Pamela Christin Guthrie died in the Sunday afternoon crash.

Officials say Dewar, who was driving, and Guthrie were traveling north on U.S. 19 when their car hit a traffic light control post and caught fire, trapping them inside.

Responding officers managed to pull Guthrie out, but they couldn’t reach Dewar, who died at the scene. Guthrie was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where she also died.
