FORISTELL, Mo. (AP) - A Missouri woman’s tragic story of loss from a drunken driving accident has gone viral after a posting on Facebook.

Destiny Mantia of Foristell told KTVI-TV (https://bit.ly/1JmLOnw ) that she shared the story in hopes of keeping others from drinking and driving.

Mantia’s husband, Corey, and their 1-year-old son, Parker, died in an accident in September 2014. A woman from Tennessee who had been drinking crossed the center line on Highway 47 and struck the Mantia family’s van. Destiny Mantia was injured but recovered. The driver who caused the crash also died.

Mantia wrote in her Facebook posting that she never got to see her son’s first haircut, never got to buy a home with her husband. And, she says, “it all could have been prevented.”
