WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) - Police say a 66-year-old motorcyclist has died from injuries he sustained in a crash with a car in West Jordan.

According to the West Jordan Police Department, John Thayer died Monday morning after the Sunday night crash.

Police say a car turned in front of the motorcycle and the driver did not see Thayer. Thayer was not able to stop in time and crashed into the front of the car. Thayer was not wearing a helmet and was critically injured when he was thrown over the car.

The case will be sent to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office to be reviewed for possible charges.
