HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey teenager stands accused of making online threats against President Barack Obama and the White House.

Bergen County prosecutors say the 17-year-old Hackensack boy also claimed he would to be involved in an attack at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City and said his “friends” in the Islamic State group were planning to attack New York.

The teen’s name was not released. He was charged with two counts of juvenile delinquency for making terroristic threats and was released to his mother’s custody.

Prosecutors say the teen is also a suspect in swatting incidents that occurred in New Albany, Indiana. They say an investigation into those incidents uncovered “threats” being made from the boy’s home.

Authorities executed a search warrant at the boy’s home and seized electronic devices.
