CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid is scheduled to speak at the University of Virginia on Saturday.

The Daily Progress reports (https://bit.ly/1KIfj8E ) that the Nevada Democrat will deliver the inaugural U.Va. Lecture on Religious Liberty, addressing the intersection of religion and politics.

The event is set for 2 p.m. in the Newcomb Hall Theater. It is sponsored by the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences’ Department of Religious Studies.

Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved through the U.Va. Arts Box Office.

Reid’s appearance is part of a planned series of lectures and conferences supported by the university’s Mormon studies program.
