BRIDGEHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Two people in their 60s have walked away from a small plane crash in Sanilac County in Michigan’s Thumb.

The sheriff’s office says the plane crashed in a field Tuesday in Bridgehampton Township, 50 miles north of Port Huron. Deputy Chad Adams tells radio station WLEW (https://bit.ly/1Mp67Fu ) that the 69-year-old pilot and 64-year-old passenger had just left an airport in Sandusky.

The pilot tried to return to Sandusky but chose an emergency landing. The plane landed upside down. Any injuries aren’t considered serious.
